Additional information

For activities under the list of activities exempted from requiring environmental clearance, skip this step and the next two steps. For those activities not in the exempted list, a detailed list of activities and projects for which Competent Authorities may screen and issue Environmental Clearances is given in Annex II of the Regulation for the Environmental Clearance of Projects, 2001, and the delegated list of competent authorities to issue EC. Accordingly, EC payment notification should be obtained from the respective authority. For instance, for constructing hotels and resorts, EC will be issued by the District Environment Committee. Hence the payment has to be routed from the Accounts Section of the District Administration office.
